Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was fined $250,000 by the NFL for conduct toward game officials, per a report by Sports Illustrated.

Sirianni was one of three coaches fined, according to the report, joining Mike Vrabel of the New England Patriots and Aaron Glenn of the New York Jets. The report also said the fines “are in abeyance,” or on hold, and could be lifted with good behavior by the coaches in question.

It is unclear what specific interactions led to the fine. Sirianni is currently in the midst of the first four-game losing streak of his six-year career with the Eagles.

Sirianni was asked about the matter at his Thursday news conference.

“I won’t get into my conversations with the league,” Sirianni said. “I try to keep everything player-related as far as our conversations with players in-house. Same with conversations with the league. Same with conversations with the referees association. I just keep that at that.”

He then expanded on this, stating that he’s trying to grow in several facets of his life. “You’re always trying to get better as a coach on a daily basis,” Sirianni said. “I’m always trying to get better as a human being, as a Christian, as a father, as a husband, as a son on a daily basis.

“I want to continue to grow as a person and as a coach. But that doesn’t mean we’re perfect and we all fall.”

NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent addressed the topic of sportsmanship in media availability from NFL owners’ meetings Wednesday, as well as the suspension earlier this season of two game officials.

“We’ve got to hold the line in that area,” Vincent, a former Eagles defensive back, reportedly said of sportsmanship issues.

Line judge Jeff Seeman was suspended two games after an interaction with Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride that was captured by TV cameras in a game against the New York Giants.

Referee Adrian Hill was suspended one game for an interaction with Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson in a game against the Miami Dolphins.
