The winning $847 million Powerball jackpot ticket was sold in New Jersey
The winning Powerball numbers were white balls 15, 34, 41, 53, and 56, and red Powerball 21.

Someone in New Jersey won big Wednesday night.
Their Powerball ticket was a perfect match for all six numbers with a Power Play multiplier of two. In turn, they can cash in on an $847 million annuitized prize or a lump sum of $363.1 million — before taxes, of course.
The ticket was purchased from a Wegmans Food Market in Montvale, Bergen County. That location received a $30,000 bonus check awarded by State Treasurer Aaron Binder and New Jersey Lottery executive director James Carey for selling the winning ticket.
According to Powerball, it was the ninth-largest Powerball jackpot to date. It came less than three months after the eighth-largest jackpot, an Illinois ticket for $1.04 billion in August.
“Back-to-back jackpot runs resulting in prizes of this magnitude are a testament to the excitement Powerball generates,” said Stephen Durrell, chair of the Powerball Product Group. “We’re thrilled to celebrate another life-changing win and congratulate the lucky ticket holder.”
Regionally, the last Powerball jackpot winner was in April, when someone in Delaware bought a ticket worth $231 million at an Acme in Middletown.
For the lucky New Jersey ticket holder, if they select the $847 million jackpot, they will receive it over the next 29 years in 30 increasing payments.
The winning numbers were white balls 15, 34, 41, 53, and 56, and red Powerball 21.
